Why Nutrition Matters

Nutrition shapes everything, temperament, soundness, recovery, coat, hoof, gut, and the quiet sense that your horse is truly thriving.

A well-balanced foundation isn't about more supplements or trends. It's about understanding your horse, your forage, and what's actually needed.

Common questions

Things owners often ask.

What is an equine nutrition consultation?
A one-on-one review of your horse's forage, feed, supplements, health history, workload, and goals. You'll leave with a written summary and practical, individualized recommendations you can actually use.
Do I need a hay analysis?
It's helpful but not required. If you have one, we'll work it into the plan; if you don't, we can build a thoughtful foundation from what you do know and discuss whether testing makes sense for your situation.
Can you help with senior horses?
Yes. Senior horse nutrition is a common focus — supporting topline, dentition-aware forage choices, easy-to-chew options, and steady condition through the seasons.
Can you help with metabolic or easy keeper horses?
Yes. We take a forage-first, low-sugar/starch-aware approach for metabolic horses and easy keepers, focused on practical adjustments you can sustain.
Do you work online?
Yes — consultations are conducted online, so we can support horse owners anywhere in the world.
Is this a replacement for veterinary care?
No. Nutrition consulting complements your veterinary team — it does not diagnose, treat, or replace veterinary care. We're happy to work alongside your vet.
